What else should I know about enrolling my child at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School?
KPCS is an open enrollment public charter school. All students living in the city of Philadelphia are eligible for enrollment at KPCS at no cost to the family. However, due to the large demand for the high-quality education provided by KPCS, families interested in sending a child or children to the school must complete an application for each student who wishes to enroll.
Every year we add 90 new 5th graders, and between 5-10 new 6th graders. Applications for 5th and 6th grade spots for the 2010-2011 school year are accepted from February 1st to March 26th .
If more than 90 students enroll for an incoming class, a lottery will be held in early April to determine who can enroll. If fewer than 90 students enroll, then KPCS will continue to accept applications on a first-come, first-serve basis until all 90 slots are filled. |
